  1. Six PNE offspring (denoted as N1–N6) and five control offspring (denoted as C1–C5) were paired-end sequenced on Illuminas HiSeq2000 sequencer. Read-pairs passing Illumina’s internal quality filters (Input read-pairs) were aligned to the mouse mm10 reference genome using STAR [41]. Read-pairs mapped to a unique site of the mouse mm10 reference genome with less than two mismatches (Uniquely mapped read-pairs) were used for further analyses
