The diagram of site 1 (position 24,645-27,443) shows an IS256 insertion 150 bp upstream of the two-component regulator walKR, that was found in the paired invasive isolate but not in the index isolate of patient 46. Site 2 (position 1,950,453-1,984,290) is the genomic island niSa-beta, which appears to be a hotspot of new IS256 insertions within same-patient isolates
