Suppression gene pairs are enriched for co-mutation in cancer samples. A-B Mutation co-occurrence in query and suppressor gene pairs in cancer cell lines (A) and in tumor samples obtained from patients (B) for gene pairs showing a suppression interaction or for randomized gene pairs. The percentage of gene pairs that were mutated in the same cell line or tumor sample is plotted against the number of cell lines or patient samples in which co-mutation was observed. Mutation data were obtained from the Cancer Dependency Map for cancer cell lines [38] and cBioPortal for patient samples [39].
